The National League also boasts four players who exceed the 25% threshhold for batted balls turned into line drives. Milwaukee's Geoff Jenkins (26.7%), New York's David Wright (26.4%), Milwaukee's Brady Clark (25.8%) and Florida's Paul LoDuca (25.3%) lead the way.

David Wright is far and away the youngest ballplayer out of the eight top line drive hitters in the major leagues. At age 22 Wright is five years the junior of the next closest player in age, Brian Roberts. A high line drive percentage for a player in their early 20's is probably a pretty darn good indication of future batting prowess.
